The recruiting process for a scholarship baseball player can be overwhelming for both the parents and the player. Its hard to get prospective schools to see a player's skills, even when they play on travel teams and in tournaments. Our son started college showcases at Pro Prospects early in high school, which allowed him to get out in front of coaches and get on their "watch lists."

The summer of Jesse's junior year, Steve Pinto put together a professional video showcasing Jesse's pitching, along with a sports profile and letter of recommendation that we used to target the schools Jesse was interested in. This was invaluable in securing scholarship offers.

Also as part of the College Marketing Service, Steve sat down with the three of us and explained the steps and what to expect during the recruitment process - everything from what questions to expect from coaches, how to best answer them, and what questions to ask. He also prepared us for the hardships of the recruiting process. Steve's program was very helpful for all of us and helped Jesse to achieve his goal of a Division I scholarship.

Pro Prospects' College Marketing Service provides much-needed exposure and guidance to juniors, seniors and junior college ballplayers. Since 1998, we have helped more than 200 ballplayers reach their dream of playing at the college level.

Pro Prospect’s CMS assists players in selecting a school that fits their academic and athletic range and maximizes their recruiting opportunities. Our service includes:

  • A PERSONAL COLLEGE MARKETING VIDEO: Pro Prospects will shoot and produce a videotape for each student-athlete that showcases their talents. Each tape is professionally edited and footage is carefully selected to show our athletes at their best.
  • PLAYER PROFILE/EVALUATION: Along with a master copy of the video, each player receives a comprehensive profile & evaluation from our staff for distribution to college coaches.
  • ON-LINE COLLEGE MATCHING SERVICE/COLLEGE WORKBOOK: Take the guesswork out of the recruiting process with a comprehensive junior/senior year workbook and on-line matching service that helps you develop a list of schools and walks you through the recruiting and admissions process.
  • PERSONAL ADVISORY MEETING/CONTINUED GUIDANCE: Upon registration, please schedule a meeting with our staff to discuss prospective colleges and how to get started. Also, we will be available for advice and guidance throughout the recruitment process.

Additional Services for College Bound Ballplayers

  • COLLEGE PREP CAMP & SUMMER SHOWCASE: Sharpen your skills at our two-day camp & gear up for our Outdoor Summer Baseball Showcase (held on the last day of camp) at Sullivan County Community College in Loch Sheldrake, NY. The last day of camp features an all-day showcase where our players will practice, drill and play a scrimmage game for attending college coaches.
